We empower beauty.®

Beauty may only be skin deep, but to improve your looks, we must begin below the skin. Ironically, it is a person’s facial structure beneath the skin that defines conventional beauty. If you are considering an extreme or subtle change to your face, your facial architecture must be considered. While the nose is the most prominent feature on the face, other features to consider are the chin, jaw line, eyes and neck.

“I turned 55 in September 2005. Three years ago, I felt that my face was aging faster than my mind and body. As a “baby boomer,” I understood what the fashion magazines meant when they said, “55 is the new 45.” Especially as a teacher, working with youth, I wanted to look as young as I felt. On July 14th 2003, I underwent an “extreme” face makeover. Dr. Pearlman performed a facelift, forehead lift, eyelid tuck and skin rejuvenation. That wasn’t enough; he also arranged hair, makeup and wardrobe consultations. I am still thrilled at the results 3 years later.

Dr. Pearlman sculpted my face like a master artisan. Dr. Pearlman performed my surgery in his immaculate operating room in his office on Park Avenue. The office staff demonstrated the same quality level of expertise. They worked out all of the details with the professionalism of an experienced, caring and supportive friend.

During my initial consultation, Dr. Pearlman’s explained all the available non-surgical alternatives to surgery. Botox was my initiation into how easy it was to look as young as I felt. I was so impressed with Dr. Pearlman’s manner that I decided to trust him to perform my surgical makeover. This resulted in a renewal to my physical and mental well-being that continues to last.

Three years later, I am still impressed. Dr. Pearlman’s expertise proved to me that looking and feeling my best are not related to a chronological age. With my renewed feeling of youth, I went back to the gym as well. I truly have never felt and looked better in my life.”

When a nose has a bump or is excessively wide, it can overshadow an otherwise pretty face. Ironically, an attractive nose brings out the natural beauty of a person’s eyes, mouth and cheek bones; meaning an observer is no longer drawn to the nose and is able to appreciate the entire face.

Chin Augmentation

A receding chin disturbs the balance of the face. Many times, patients think they need a nose job when, in fact, the problem lies within their chin. A weak chin can appear to exaggerate the size of the nose or other features. There are many sizes and shapes for chin augmentation that complement the shape of the face.

Facial Implants

Narrow or flat cheekbones can also be enhanced to create a younger, more dramatic look. There are a variety of facial implants available to improve the shape of the forehead to the angle of one’s jaw. A personal consultation is the best way to evaluate your facial structure.

Non-Invasive Procedures

There are several minimally invasive treatments that can complement or even stave off the need for surgery, including BOTOX® Cosmetic, fillers, such as collagen, Cosmoderm and Restylane®, microdermabrasion and various laser peels. Please contact the office for more information.

In the course of aging, the eyes are often the first spot to show wear. There is a range of procedures to consider for upper face rejuvenation. With age, the tissues of the upper third of the face tend to droop and sag. An Endoscopic Browlift will treat hooding of the upper eyelids when caused by a drooping brow.

Blepharoplasty is the primary surgical procedure for erasing the eyelid wrinkles and sagging “bags” under the eye. The procedure can be done on the lower or upper lids – or both. Incisions are made in the natural creases or folds of the eyelids. Loose skin and extra fat tissue is removed.

As people age, the effects of gravity, sun exposure and daily stress can be seen in their faces. Deep creases can form between the nose and mouth; the jaw line often grows slack and folds and fat deposits may appear around the neck. While a facelift [technically known as rhytidectomy] cannot stop the aging process, it erases the most visible signs of aging. By removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck, a facelift can “turn back the clock,” naturally and safely.
