Director of the Division of Facial Plastic Surgery at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital.
Founding President of the New York Facial Plastic Surgery Society--a society founded in 1993 to promote advanced education for Facial Plastic Surgeons in the New York Metropolitan area. It provides a forum for accomplished, practicing physicians to exchange ideas, new techniques and procedures on a continuing basis.

Dr. Pearlman is the author of various medical textbook chapters and scientific articles on Rhinoplasty, Revision Rhinoplasty, Facelift Surgery, Blepharoplasty, Laser Skin Resurfacing and Sinus Disease.

Humanitarian

Face to Face is an international program in which Dr. Pearlman participated along with other renowed doctors. He traveled to China, Honduras and Vietnam, providing pro bono surgery on children and adults. In addition to pro bono surgicial services, Dr. Pearlman, along with his colleagues, provided additional education to local doctors on advanced and new surgical techniques in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
  Founded 1992, FACE TO FACE is a humanitarian and educational surgical exchange program conducted under the sponsorship of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In the United States and abroad, AAFPRS surgeons provide complimentary care to those who suffer from facial deformities caused by birth or trauma. The FACE TO FACE program offers individuals the opportunity to overcome the physical limitations placed on them by circumstances beyond their control--deformities at birth, domestic violence, and war.
National Domestic Violence Project--Dr. Pearlman participated as a pro bono facial reconstructive surgeon:
  Professional Members such as Dr. Pearlman volunteer to help victims of domestic abuse who cannot afford to receive treatment for facial injuries incurred by physical abuse. These efforts repair both physical and psychological scars and help women to regain self-esteem as well as begin to rebuild their lives.

  Following his residency, Dr. Pearlman pursued his interest in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery by participating in the highly sought fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. This is a full-year program offering a unique opportunity to study with one of AAFPRS's master surgeons.
Residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY. Completed in 1987:
  Mount Sinai Department of Otolaryngology has one of the oldest and most respected traditions for training Head and Neck Surgeons. It is one of the first institutions where advanced Facial Plastic Surgery techniques have been both pioneered and taught in an Otolaryngology residency.
  Upon graduation, Otolaryngology residents were found to have performed more than twice the cosmetic surgery procedures on the face as the parallel Plastic Surgery program at Mount Sinai Hospital.
The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY: Medical School graduated in 1982:
  The School of Medicine shares a legacy of excellence with one of the oldest and most widely admired teaching hospitals in the United States: The Mount Sinai Hospital.
